Since the Nectary Pollinator and Sensory Garden opened in summer 2024, bees, birds, and Colorado pollinators have made the garden a stop on their paths. Bursting with more than 380 plants, the garden is also home to 26 different native plant species.
Since the garden opened, perennial plants have exploded, and a new mural on the garden’s wall, painted by teens from the library’s IMAGINANTES program, has transformed the look and feel of the garden.
A group of IMAGINANTES teens helped carry out the vision of artists from a local collective Al Frente de Lucha, more than a decade after an earlier group of IMAGINANTES teens painted the mural in the Civic Center Parking Structure with artist Rafael Lopez.
In October, a variety of wonderful events and programs will take place in the Nectary Pollinator and Sensory Garden which is located behind the library’s Administrative Center at 301 East Olive Street.
