Southeast Library Capital Campaign
Your Library Amplified
This exciting $2 million initiative launched on August 3, 2026 alongside generous lead gifts from Poudre Libraries Trust ($500,000) and Poudre River Friends of the Library ($100,000), and an earlier gift from the Evelyn Traut Estate ($510,000).
Thanks to early support and community excitement, we’ve already raised $1.28 million toward our $2 million campaign goal. With your help, we can close the gap and take another step closer to opening the library’s doors within the new Southeast Community Center (5150 Ziegler Rd., Fort Collins) in 2028.
The Vision
The capital campaign will expand how people experience public libraries in Fort Collins and surrounding communities. This initiative, our most ambitious undertaking since we became a Library District in 2007, is an investment in your future, your family, and your community.
From expanded programming and gathering spaces to dedicated children, teen, and tween areas, the new library will amplify what you already love about your libraries and expand opportunities and innovation in new and exciting ways.
To make this possible, we’re investing in the infrastructure, equipment, and spaces needed to support this growth, which includes eight in-library meeting and study rooms, dedicated spaces for tweens and teens, a children’s interactive play space, innovative makerspaces and recording studio, public technology, and more.
