Text Alerts FAQs
Can I get text alerts for more than one library card?
Yes. You can manage multiple library cards from the same phone number as long as you have the library card barcode and 4-digit PIN. Text ADDCARD to 844-203-5201 to register a new library barcode to your phone for notices. Use DROPCARD to remove a card.
When will I receive text alerts?
Texts will be sent only when activity on your account triggers a message and will be sent between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. MST/MDT. There may be a slight delay in message notifications so your mobile carrier does not flag or list the message as spam.
Do I have to pay for text messages?
Standard texting rates apply. Please check with your mobile phone carrier for rates. You can expect a larger volume of text messages with this service.
What if I am not receiving the text alerts?
Shortly after signing up for the text service, you should receive a confirmation text. If you do not receive the confirmation message, text MYCARDS to verify the registered library cards.
You can also text HELP to 844-203-5201 for assistance.
My cell number has changed. What can I do to continue to receive text alerts?
Text SWITCHPHONE to 844-203-5201 to update the phone number receiving texts. You will be prompted to provide the barcode you want to switch and then the PIN. The system will then make the switch and look for and resend any messages from the library over the last few days.
