Native American Heritage Month 2025
November marks the annual observance of Native American Heritage Month — a time to honor the rich and enduring cultures, languages, and contributions of Indigenous peoples and tribes across the United States.
Northern Colorado and areas surrounding Fort Collins are the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute Nations and peoples. These Native tribes shaped our history, landscape, and culture. For Poudre Libraries, celebrating and recognizing Native American heritage isn’t only about history, but about Native communities across the country today.
Drop by a library location to browse displays featuring Indigenous-authored books or explore the selections curated in celebration of this month below.
