Harmony Plant Library
Want to start your own indoor plant oasis? Head over to Harmony Library and browse the Plant Library. The popular service offers free plants or cuttings to anyone interested in starting or adding to their plant collection.
“There’s no better way to connect with your community than by taking a plant you’ve cared for and sharing it with someone who will nurture it further,” says Heidi Kunkel, librarian at Harmony Library.

“Each leaf and branch shared at the Plant Library is a small branch reaching out to more community members.” The plant library is self-sustaining, replenishing its inventory through community contributions. Customers donate plant cuttings, while the library provides soil, pots, and care instructions.

Grow Your Knowledge
The Library has a great online resource for gardeners called Hobbies & Crafts Resource Center. The platform includes a wide variety of eBooks, magazines, reference books, and project plans on topics ranging from gardening with deer to vegetable gardening to sprouting seeds with a children’s garden. Whatever you might be looking for, start with the Home & Garden section.
