Poudre Libraries is part of the larger network of community organizations that are committed to improving the lives of teens. In fact, the library is one of the best neutral, safe, and free public spaces open to all teens.
The library is space for teens to connect with one another, to create opportunities for themselves, and just to be themselves. They can gather with friends, access computers and internet, read and study, take part in programs and activities, or just “hang out.” The library is not a one-size-fits-all experience, and teens are empowered to follow their own interests and engage with library resources and services in their own way.
As teens continue to figure out who they are and what they want to accomplish in their lives, the Library is here to support them and help them thrive. Poudre Libraries is the space to be a teen!
Create Your Community
Teens can make a real difference in the community when given the space and autonomy to share their voices. That’s why each library location has dedicated teen spaces, designed by and for teens.
Similarly, many teen programs and collections are co-created between staff and teens. Groups like the Teen Council and the Youth Pride Prom Committee design experiences specifically for fellow teens.
