Even as we enjoy dozens of different year-end “Best of” and “Wrapped” lists (including our own Library Wrapped series on social media), we can’t help but look ahead to the New Year tradition of setting resolutions.
After weeks of holiday spending and indulgent dining, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that saving money, exercising more, and getting healthier are popular resolutions heading into 2026. Did you know that you can reach each of those resolutions—and many others—through the library? Check out just a few of the ways you can reach your personal goals with Poudre Libraries.
Reading
Reading more books is the classic goal for self-improvement in any new year. Since we’re a library, this resolution gets its own category on our list.
- Set a reading goal and use the Library’s Beanstack to track your reading
- Turn on your reading history in your My Account online
- Participate in the Library’s various reading challenges
- Attend a Friends of the Library Book Sale (January 16-18 @ Harmony Library)
Personal Growth
Find a new hobby or learn a new skill
- Learn a new language with the Mango app or attend the monthly Let’s Talk in Spanish program.
- Check out a ukulele from the Gadgets & Things Collection and attend the monthly Ukulele Play-Along at Old Town Library.
- Use Creativebug for arts and craft classes, videos, and patterns.
