Celebrate National Library Week, April 6-12
Millions of people across the country visit their libraries every week. What’s the draw? Everything.
From young families stopping in for play and storytime, to students sketching out their next creative project, to seniors seeking tech help and everyone in between, libraries help us connect the dots from one part of our journey to the next.
Chart your next literary adventure by browsing the stacks or joining a book club. Outline your big business idea with our Business & Nonprofit Librarian. Trace your history with the library’s genealogy resources and the Larimer County Genealogical Society.
Make your mark in your community and get involved with your library by volunteering, joining the Friends of the Library group, or spreading the word to friends and neighbors.
Monday, April 7: Right to Read Day, a day for readers, advocates, and library lovers to protect, defend, and celebrate the right to read.
Tuesday, April 8: National Library Workers Day, a day to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers.
Wednesday, April 9: National Library Outreach Day, a day to celebrate library outreach (and our mobile library, Evie) and the dedicated library professionals who are meeting community members where they are.
Friday, April 11: Library Early Closure, all libraries close at 4:00 pm for a staff celebration.
