If you’re considering starting or expanding a business or nonprofit in 2025, you don’t have to look further than Poudre Libraries and Larimer County Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
We’re excited to share that Business & Nonprofit Librarian Amada Simental has been named Larimer SBDC’s 2024 Advisor of the Year for her excellent service and care to SBDC clients.
“Amada’s expertise in market research and the available tools through the library are an indispensable resource for budding entrepreneurs as well as established businesses,” says Hope Hartman, Larimer SBDC executive director. “Everyone is impressed with her knowledge and resourcefulness.”
In addition to working one-on-one with business and nonprofit clients, Amada has been an ongoing guest speaker for the SBDC’s Leading Edge strategic planning program. She was also part of the team that earned the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2024 Colorado District Director’s Diamond Award for the T.H.R.I.V.E Emerging Leaders Reimagined program.
Amada is one of very few bilingual advisors with Larimer SBDC and has offered to assist whenever a language barrier may be present.
“She is one of the most resourceful, reliable and steady advisors in our network as well as being an active community member. We appreciate her spirit of service,” says Hartman.
